SPRING SUMMER 2021

As man’s endless desires transform Earth as we know it into a desolate, unliveable landscape, UNDERAGE invites us to imagine a journey to a conceptual world; the backdrop for the SS21 collection.
Continuing where we left off, this season’s muse is a futuristic time traveller, transported to a new dimension, unable to let go of her tangible memories and objects and leaving behind a footprint that can’t be erased. Thus, we are forced to examine our own impact on the world, both physical and spiritual.

AUTUMN WINTER 2020

Entirely designed and made in London, familiar fabrics return for AW20 from past seasons, including silicone, TPU coating and mesh. Meanwhile digital prints, CMYK screen prints and silk viscose devoré add layers of texture and pattern. Textiles created through melting and sealing represent the sense of ambiguity between reality and fantasy; almost as if one foot were on Earth and the other in a new dimension. As ever, sensual undertones run deep throughout the collection, as tattered garments cling and wrap around the body to deeply erotic effect.
Through some of the collection, AW20 gives new life to second-hand pieces through upcycling. Garments are deconstructed and reworked as a patchwork textile, then new patterns are cut and stitched; while shoes are deconstructed & manipulated into new shapes, revealing pieces that tread the line between old and new.

SPRING SUMMER 2020

SS20 is a suitably eclectic take on the power of the cult, a theme which serves as the heart of the collection. Distinctly feminine in style, SS20 imagines a society that champions the female figure, with dark undertones so familiar with the UNDERAGE aesthetic.

Striking, suggestive and painterly, SS20’s prints are a contemporary reimagining of society emblems over the decades, detailing deconstructed silhouettes cut from sheer tulle and languid silk. This truly sensual undertone highlights the natural beauty of the female form and celebrates the power of sexuality. Muted shades of blush rose and beige sit amongst a largely pastel palette, completed with bright colour accents and sheer, draped layers.

AUTUMN WINTER 2019

Inspired by cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show and its impact on the sexual revolution movement in 1970s Britain – UNDERAGE’s AW19 collection have used dark tones to represent the horror and hedonism of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. More blunt contrasts can be seen throughout the collection, specifically within the way that UNDERAGE combine a traditional and modern approach to fashion. Classic suit-like silhouettes are contrasted against pseudosexual graphics and clothes with streetwear sensibilities.

SPRING SUMMER 2019

The Lucid Dream that UNDERAGE envisions is one where members of society are prisoners to their own notions of identity and much of the collection is based on Erik Erikson’s ‘Four stages of the identity crisis’.

While distressed denim may be ubiquitous, the collection approaches the fabric in a new manner. Denim mixed with shirting and tailored fabrics, embroidery and bright colours inspires new possibilities in the distressed denim trend. With new ways of manipulating fabrics, UNDERAGE are considering if the future of fashion can enhance consumer’s liberation from identity categorisation imposed on them, by themselves.
